Esta Norma Venezolana establece los requisitos mínimos de diseño y desempeño, y los métodos de ensayo para los guantes diseñados para proteger a los bomberos de los efectos ambientales adversos sobre las manos y muñecas durante el combate de incendios estructurales, incluyendo el rescate de victimas de incendios y operaciones de medicina de emergencia. Esta norma también especifica los criterios de desempeño y método de ensayo para proteger a los bomberos contra la exposición de la piel a la sangre y otros líquidos patógenos, y la exposición a líquidos comunes, bajo las condiciones diversas que puedan existir en este tipo de emergencias. |
