Esta norma Venezolana establece las condiciones mínimas y los procedimientos de ensayo para los sistemas de frenado, de forma que permitan una evaluación reproducible de la capacidad de frenado en las máquinas para movimiento de tierras, tanto si trabajan en obra como si se desplazan por vías públicas. Se incluyen en esta norma los sistemas de freno de servicio, socorro y de estacionamiento, así como ralentizadores. Esta norma se aplica a vehículos autopropulsados sobre neumáticos, ya sean cargadoras, tractores, motoniveladoras, retrocargadora, mototraíllas, excavadoras y dúmperes, tal y como se definen en la norma COVENIN 3688. |
