La presente Norma Venezolana especifica el método de ensayo para la determinación del residual de monómero estireno en el poliestireno, por Cromatografía de Gases. Puede ser usada, también para la determinación simultánea de otros hidrocarburos aromáticos volátiles en poliestireno. Esta Norma Venezolana es aplicable tanto para homopolímeros de estireno, como para poliestireno modificado con butadieno. |
