Esta Norma Venezolana especifica la calificación profesional que deben cumplir los que responden ante incidentes con materiales peligrosos. No es limitar a ninguna jurisdicción en su intento de exceder estos requisitos mínimos. Uno de los propósitos de la calificación profesional que se incluye en la presente norma es reducir el número de accidentes, lesiones y enfermedades durante el tiempo en que se responde ante los incidentes con materiales peligrosos y ayudar a evitar la exposición de materiales peligrosos para reducir la posibilidad de que ocurran muertes, enfermedades y falta de habilidades que afecten al personal encargado de la respuesta de emergencia. |
