Esta norma Venezolana especifica un método que permite la determinación del poder solvente de los hidrocarburos utilizados en la formulación de lacas y pinturas. El método es adecuado para ser utilizado con solventes que tengan un punto inicial de ebullición superior a los 40°C, y un punto seco por debajo de 300°C (véase la NOTA 1). Un valor alto de Kauri-butanol indica un fuerte poder de solvente. |
